Here is a list of several WordPress blog plugins that I have found very helpful. You can search for these plugins via your WordPress Admin Console, and I am also linking to the plugin sites.

  • Customize Meta Widget – allows you to add/remove links from the meta widget.
  • Delete Spam Daily – This plugin schedules a daily event to delete comments marked as spam, and this prevents the database from growing too large.
  • Fast Secure Contact Form – This plugin allows visitors to your blog to contact you through a form on the site, and it blocks spam.
  • Feed Statistics – tracks statistics for your RSS/Atom feeds, including the number of subscribers, which feed readers they’re using, which posts they’re viewing, and which links they’re clicking on.
  • Pti’s Text-Math Antispam for comment – This plugin uses a simple math question to block spam.
  • RSS Cloud – Ping RSS Cloud servers
  • Share and Follow – This plugin installs the icons and links to manage sharing and following of your blog and blog posts. (see the icons below this post).
  • XML Sitemap Feed – Creates a feed that complies with the XML Sitemap protocol ready for indexing by Google, Yahoo, Bing, Ask and others.

Stay tuned for future posts with blog tips as well as broader social media marketing tips for sites like Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.
